How to add faster in your head
- Work left to right. Tens first, then ones: 47 + 38 is 70 + 15 = 85.
- Round and adjust. 67 + 29 is 67 + 30 − 1 = 96.
- Make tens. Spot pairs that make 10: 7 and 3, 6 and 4.
