How a round works

The default settings

What your numbers mean

Score is the number of correct answers in the round. Rounds you quit early are not saved.

Accuracy is the share of answers you typed without a slip. A slip is when the digits you type could no longer become the right answer, like typing 5 when the answer is 63.

Consistency runs from 0 to 100 and compares your last 10 rounds on the same settings. Close scores give a high number. It needs at least 3 rounds.

Answers a minute is your score scaled to 60 seconds, so rounds of different lengths can be compared.

Your rank comes from your best score on the default settings: Intern, then Analyst at 25, Associate at 35, Trader at 50, Senior Trader at 65, Quant at 70 and Senior Quant at 85.

Your day streak counts the days in a row, in your local time, on which you finished at least one round.

Weak spots and the heatmap come from how long each correct answer took, from the moment the problem appeared. The heatmap groups times tables by the size of the other number, so you can see, for example, whether 7 times numbers in the 80s slows you down.

Daily challenge and racing your best

The daily challenge is a default round with the same questions for everyone that day. You get one go each day.

Race my best shows, during a round, whether you are ahead of or behind your best round on the same settings at that exact second. You can switch it off under Customise.

Practice modes and tests

Beyond the classic drill there are practice modes for times tables, decimals, fractions, percentages and each operation on its own, plus 80 in 8 and 60 in 6 multiple-choice tests. The tests score +1 for a right answer and −1 for a wrong one, and skipping scores 0. Each mode keeps its own scores and graph.

Where your data lives

Every score is stored in your browser on this device. There are no accounts and nothing about your rounds is sent to a server. Clearing your browser data, or using another browser or device, starts you fresh. You can also wipe everything from the stats page.

Why there are ads

Ads keep QuantDrill free. You will never see one during a round: they appear only on the way to your results and at the bottom of the results page. See the privacy page for details.
