6 times table: trick and speed drill
Times 5, plus one more lot. Then put it to work with a free 60-second drill.
The trick for the 6 times table
Times 5, plus one more lot. 6 × n is 5 × n + n. A neat pattern: 6 times an even number ends in that number's last digit (6 × 4 = 24, 6 × 8 = 48).
- 6 × 7 = 35 + 7 = 42
- 6 × 14 = 70 + 14 = 84
- 6 × 38 = 190 + 38 = 228
How the drill works
You get 60 seconds of 6 times table questions in both directions: multiplication like 6 × 7 and division like 42 ÷ 6. Type the answer and it is accepted the moment it is right. Your scores, best and slowest facts are saved on your device, so you can see the table getting quicker.
